Registration is now open for the XII Jean Monnet Network Seminar – BRIDGE WATCH, taking place from 5 to 7 October 2026 at the Universidad de la República (Uruguay) in hybrid format.
Under the theme “Green Transition and Sustainable Societies,” the event will bring together several experts including researchers, academics, and professionals, to discuss contemporary challenges in international trade and sustainable development between the European Union and Latin America.
The programme includes a seminar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay – Reinaldo Gargano Amphitheater, a dedicated session presenting and discussing the main findings and conclusions of the BRIDGE Watch Reports, a training course, and a workshop. The Call for Papers for the workshop is open until 4 September 2026 (Uruguay time, GMT−3).
This initiative is part of the Jean Monnet Network Policy Debate “BRIDGE WATCH: Values and Democracy in the EU and Latin America,” co-funded by the European Commission. The project brings together 14 universities from Latin America and Europe under the co-coordination of the University of Lisbon and the Federal University of Santa Catarina, with the support of several international and regional institutions.
