Result of the Jean Monnet BRIDGE Watch Scientific Merit Award - 11th Call for Papers

The BRIDGE Watch Project is pleased to announce the recipient of the Jean Monnet BRIDGE Watch Scientific Merit Award, presented at the XI Jean Monnet Network – BRIDGE Workshop, held on April 14, 2026, at the University of Lisbon, Portugal, under the theme “Fair and Free Trade for Inclusive Economies”.

Award-winning author: Antonio Lopo Martinez (University of Coimbra Institute for Legal Research, Portugal.

Title of the paper: “Beyond Climate Compliance: Procedural Fairness, Exporter Inclusion, And Dispute Prevention Under The Eu Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism”

Recognition and Publication

The Jean Monnet BRIDGE Watch Scientific Merit Award recognizes outstanding academic achievement and significant contributions to advancing research on the European Union and Latin America. As part of this recognition, the winning article will be published in the Thematic Dossier of the 11th Edition of the Latin American Journal of European Studies, alongside other selected contributions that further enrich the debate on the intersection between the two regions.
