Call for Papers: XI Workshop of the Jean Monnet Network – BRIDGE Watch in Lisbon, Portugal

We are pleased to announce the XI Workshop of the Jean Monnet Network – BRIDGE Watch Seminar, a Policy Debate initiative co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. This edition of the Workshop will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, on April 14, 2026, in a hybrid format, organized by the Universidade de Lisboa in collaboration with the Latin America Center of European Studies (LACES).

We invite academics and researchers to submit scientific papers for presentation at the Workshop of the XI Jean Monnet Network – BRIDGE Watch Seminar, under the theme:”Fair and Free Trade for Inclusive Economies“.

Submissions are accepted in English, Spanish, or Portuguese, either individually or in co-authorship (preferably up to three authors). Undergraduate students are also encouraged to participate, preferably in collaboration with master’s or doctoral students.

Full papers must be submitted by March 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (Portugal time – GMT+0) via an online form.

The best-selected papers will be:

– Presented at the Workshop (hybrid format), at the discretion of the Organizing Committee;
– Considered for publication in the Thematic Dossier of the 11th Edition of the Latin American Journal of European Studies (ISSN 2763-8685), provided they are approved through the journal’s double-blind peer review process;
– The best paper will receive the Jean Monnet BRIDGE Watch – Scientific Merit Award for its academic contribution, at the discretion of the Organizing Committee.
