The circulation of legal models is a fascinating topic that reveals much about the identity of each legal system. The dynamics of legal influences represent a crucial aspect of the cultural relationship between two distinct realities.
In the year marking the 150th anniversary of Italian immigration to Brazil, this event aims to explore the influence of the Italian legal model—academic, legislative, and jurisprudential—on Brazil, its significance, and its transformation in the new reality. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach that spans from private law to comparative law, criminal and procedural law to international law, as well as the history and philosophy of law, the event will discuss the connections between Italy and Brazil.
