BRIDGE Watch Project to be showcased at event hosted by the "Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE)"

The Servicio Español para la Internacionalización de la Educación (SEPIE), an autonomous public agency linked to the Ministry of Universities of Spain, responsible for promoting the internationalization of the Spanish educational system, has invited Professor Beatriz Campuzano Díaz from Universidad de Sevilla, a partner of Jean Monnet Network Policy Debate “Bridge Watch”, to present our project at the “Jornadas de movilidad Erasmus+ de educación superior – Proyectos de movilidad de estudiantes y personal de educación superior financiada con fondos de política exterior (KA171-HED)” to be held on June 27 and 28 in Granada, Spain.

SEPIE plays a crucial role in managing international educational and mobility programs, such as Erasmus+, and in promoting cooperation between educational institutions in Spain and other countries. Its activities include administering scholarships, supporting exchange projects, and facilitating international partnerships at all levels of education, from primary to higher education.

Our project from the Jean Monnet Network Policy Debate “Bridge Watch,” which will be presented during the event, aims to foster a nuanced understanding of Latin American countries from the European Union’s perspective on values and democracy. This initiative is designed to generate critical knowledge and insights, thereby enhancing the EU’s influence in a global context. The project not only aims to inform policy systems but also to bridge the gap between academia and society. It encourages engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, including civil society actors, policymakers, educators, and media representatives, at various levels.

It is a collaborative endeavor involving a network of 14 prestigious universities across Europe and Latin America and has received funding of €1,155,686.00 from the European Commission’s Erasmus+ Program.
