Bridge Watch Project Partner, Mario Torres Jarrín, Participates in the Public Hearing "The Geopolitical Aspects of the EU-MERCOSUR Agreement" Organized by the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET)

On 23 June 2025, in Brussels, Professor Mario Torres Jarrín, from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, Spain, and partner of the Bridge Watch Project, participated in the public hearing “The Geopolitical Aspects of the EU-MERCOSUR Agreement”, hosted by the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET).

During his intervention, Professor Mario shared his views on the geopolitical implications of the potential signing, or non-signing, of the EU-MERCOSUR Agreement.

The hearing convened leading experts to assess the broader geopolitical implications of the agreement. Discussions focused on its strategic relevance for the European Union, its impact on regional dynamics in Latin America, and its role in strengthening multilateral alliances.
