Result of the Jean Monnet BRIDGE Watch Scientific Merit Award - 10th Call for Papers

The BRIDGE Watch Project is pleased to announce the recipient of the Jean Monnet BRIDGE Watch Scientific Merit Award, presented at the X Jean Monnet Network – BRIDGE Workshop, held on October 2nd, 2025, at the University of Chile in Santiago, Chile, under the theme “Digital Transformation and Innovative Solutions.”

Award-winning author: Milena da Fonseca Azevedo (USP/Brazil)

Title of the paper: “From Transparency to Standards: The Role of the TBT Agreement in Addressing AI Regulatory Challenges”

The awarded study examines the role of the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT Agreement) in addressing the regulatory challenges arising from the proliferation of artificial intelligence (AI) regulations.

Recognition and Publication

The Jean Monnet BRIDGE Watch Scientific Merit Award recognizes outstanding academic achievement and significant contributions to advancing research on the European Union and Latin America. As part of this recognition, the winning article will be published in the Thematic Dossier of the 10th Edition of the Latin American Journal of European Studies, alongside other selected contributions that further enrich the debate on the intersection between the two regions.
