The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), is a regional organization under the UN, established in 1948, with the mission of promoting sustainable economic and social development in Latin America and the Caribbean. Its work covers economic analysis, public policies, regional integration studies, environment, gender equality, and the connections between science, technology, and innovation.
