Open Traineeships at the EU Delegation to Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua

New vacancies have been announced for the European Union’s trainee program within its delegations in Latin America, specifically:

 

  • Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Honduras and Nicaragua

  • Compulsory traineeship for students at the EU Delegation to Mexico

 

The positions are listed in order of the closest deadline:

Compulsory traineeship for students at the EU Delegation to Mexico – Cooperation Section 

Deadline: 17/03/2025

A traineeship of 5 months for students undertaking a compulsory traineeship as a part of their studies, within the Cooperation Section of the EU Delegation to Mexico, starting in May 2025.

Qualifications or special requirements:

  • Students enrolled in the 3rd, 4th or 5th year of a University degree or another higher-education level, e.g. in economics, finance, international relations, environment/climate change/energy, etc.;
  • Excellent command of Spanish and English languages (oral and written);
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

 

Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Honduras – Political, Press and Information Section 

Deadline: 17/03/2025

A traineeship of up to 6 months within the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Honduras, starting in April the earliest 2025.

Qualifications or special requirements:

  • Taking into account the local health and security conditions, applicants currently residing in Francisco Morazán, Honduras] will only be considered.
  • To have at least one university diploma in international relations, institutional communication, journalism, political sciences or similar.
  • Perfect Spanish skills (native speaker or C2). Good knowledge of English.
  • Good drafting skills.
  • Interest in international relations and the work made by the European Union worldwide.
  • Social media knowledge

 

Funded traineeship – EUDEL to Nicaragua – Political, Press and Information Section

Deadline: 17/03/2025

A traineeship of up to 6 months within the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Nicaragua, starting in April 2025.

Qualifications or special requirements:

  • Nicaraguans or Europeans with a valid visa/residence permit.
  • Excellent Spanish and English language and social media skills are mandatory in order to be able to follow meetings, analyse documents, draft reports and perform adequately. French would be an asset.
  • Given teleworking and the difficult political context, candidates should be able to work autonomously. Relevant experience from education, previous work, volunteer work or traineeships will be an advantage. Knowledge of Nicaragua will be an asset.
  • Taking into account the local health and security conditions, only applicants currently residing in Nicaragua will be considered.
