At the invitation of the European Commission, Professor Aline Beltrame de Moura, holder of the Jean Monnet Chair and Co-Coordinator of the Jean Monnet Network Policy Debate BRIDGE Watch, participated as a speaker at the event ’35 Years of Jean Monnet Actions Anniversary Conference: Change the EU, change your world, one lecture at a time,’ held in Brussels, Belgium, on October 9 and 10, 2024.
Professor Aline was one of the panelists in the session titled ‘Shaping the Future: The European Union’s Influence on the Global Stage,’ alongside professors from Belgium, the United States, South Africa, India, and New Zealand. The panel followed a Q&A format and was moderated by journalist Jack Davies. The session aimed to analyze the ways in which the European Union has influenced global governance and the importance of education as a key tool in fostering debate and creating new solutions for the demands and challenges of the international community.
Also participating in the event was Professor Beatriz Campuzano Díaz from the University of Seville, Spain, a partner of the BRIDGE Watch consortium.
