The full program of the XII Jean Monnet Network Seminar – BRIDGE WATCH is now available!
Taking place from 5 to 7 October 2026 at the Universidad de la República (Uruguay), in hybrid format, the event will bring together 66 experts from 11 countries under the theme “Green Transition and Sustainable Societies.”
Across three days, the programme will feature a seminar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay – Reinaldo Gargano Amphitheater, a session dedicated to the BRIDGE Watch Reports, a training course, and a workshop.
The event will provide a space for researchers, academics, and professionals to exchange perspectives on sustainable development, international trade, environmental governance, and EU–Latin America relations, with a particular focus on the challenges and opportunities of the green transition.
The initiative is part of the Jean Monnet Network Policy Debate “BRIDGE WATCH: Values and Democracy in the EU and Latin America,” co-funded by the European Commission. The network brings together 14 universities from Latin America and Europe, under the co-coordination of the University of Lisbon and the Federal University of Santa Catarina, with the support of several international and regional institutions.
