Open Traineeships at the EU Delegation to Colombia and Guatemala

New vacancies have been announced for the European Union’s trainee program within its delegations in Latin America, specifically:

  • Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Colombia and Guatemala 

  • Compulsory traineeship for students at the EU Delegation to Colombia

The positions are listed in order of the closest deadline:

Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Colombia:

  • Deadline: 25/09/2024
  • A traineeship of up to 6 months within the Political, Press and Information (PPI) Section of the EU Delegation to Colombia, starting in November 2024.

Qualifications or special requirements:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required,
  • At least a Bachelor diploma (or equivalent) in international relations, politics, or equivalent,
  • Excellent writing skills,
  • Capacity to work in a team with attention to details,
  • Good command of usual IT Tools.

Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation of Guatemala:

  • Deadline: 30/09/2024
  • A traineeship of up to 6 months within the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Guatemala, starting in November 2024.

Qualifications or special requirements:

  • Guatemalan citizens or EU citizens residing in Guatemala
  • Young graduates with Bachelor Diploma in the area of Law/Political Sciences /International relations/Sociology.
  • Excellent level of Spanish and English (both oral and written)
  • Knowledge of indigenous languages and culture is considered a strong asset
  • Written evidence that the candidate has suitable sickness/accident insurance

Compulsory traineeship for students at the EU Delegation to Colombia:

  • Deadline: 06/10/2024
  • A traineeship of up to 5 months for students undertaking a compulsory traineeship as a part of their studies, within the Political, Press and Information (PPI) Section of the EU Delegation to Colombia, starting in January 2025.

Qualifications or special requirements:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Capacity to work in a team with attention to details
  • Good command of usual IT Tools
