New vacancies have been announced for the European Union’s trainee program within its delegations in Latin America, specifically:
Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Colombia and Guatemala
Compulsory traineeship for students at the EU Delegation to Colombia

Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Colombia:
- Deadline: 25/09/2024
- A traineeship of up to 6 months within the Political, Press and Information (PPI) Section of the EU Delegation to Colombia, starting in November 2024.
Qualifications or special requirements:
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required,
- At least a Bachelor diploma (or equivalent) in international relations, politics, or equivalent,
- Excellent writing skills,
- Capacity to work in a team with attention to details,
- Good command of usual IT Tools.
Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation of Guatemala:
- Deadline: 30/09/2024
- A traineeship of up to 6 months within the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Guatemala, starting in November 2024.
Qualifications or special requirements:
- Guatemalan citizens or EU citizens residing in Guatemala
- Young graduates with Bachelor Diploma in the area of Law/Political Sciences /International relations/Sociology.
- Excellent level of Spanish and English (both oral and written)
- Knowledge of indigenous languages and culture is considered a strong asset
- Written evidence that the candidate has suitable sickness/accident insurance
Compulsory traineeship for students at the EU Delegation to Colombia:
- Deadline: 06/10/2024
- A traineeship of up to 5 months for students undertaking a compulsory traineeship as a part of their studies, within the Political, Press and Information (PPI) Section of the EU Delegation to Colombia, starting in January 2025.
Qualifications or special requirements:
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Excellent writing skills
- Capacity to work in a team with attention to details
- Good command of usual IT Tools
