Open Traineeships at the EU Delegation to Cuba and Venezuela

New vacancies have been announced for the European Union’s trainee program within its delegations in Latin America, specifically:

 

Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Cuba and Venezuela 

 

The positions are listed in order of the closest deadline:

 

Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Cuba:

  • Deadline: 15/02/2025
  • A traineeship of up to 6 months within the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Cuba, starting in March 2025, subject to budget availability.

Qualifications or special requirements:

  • A university graduate in one of the following fields: Law, Economics, International Relations, International Trade, Journalism, History;
  • With less than 1 year (12 months) of paid professional experience;
  • With no prior experience of more than 6 weeks in any European Union institution;
  • With excellent knowledge of Spanish and English. French will be an asset;
  • With experience in social media management and organization of academic and cultural events;
  • Knowledge of EU-Cuba relations will be positively valued.
 

Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Venezuela:

  • Deadline: 23/02/2025
  • Traineeships of up to 6 months within the following sections of the EU Delegation to Venezuela, starting in April 2025.

Qualifications or special requirements:

  • Taking into consideration of the local health and security conditions, only Venezuelan applicants currently residing in Caracas, and Europeans who have a permanent residency are eligible (tourist visas are not valid);
  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent issue by University;
  • No more than one year experience (after graduation);
  • Very good command of English is required;
  • The incumbent must be able to demonstrate strong computer literacy notably for Microsoft Office, internet and web content production, webinars, and good management skills of social networks applications such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
