VI Jean Monnet Network Seminar – Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy



Between October 3rd and 4th of 2023 the Jean Monnet Network – BRIDGE Project, financed by Erasmus+ Program from European Union, is going to perform academic activities in association with Università degli Studi di Milano, Italy which will bring together around 30 speakers from 8 different nationalities (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay). All activities will take place in hybrid mode, with the face-to-face event taking place in the Sala Napoleonica (UNIMI).

On October 3rd of 2023 at 15h (GTM +1, Italy) will take place the Round of Discussions on “Digital transformation and regional integration process”. The Round of Discussions will have the participation of the partner professors of the BRIDGE Project and others experts.

Besides that, on October 4th of 2023, the Seminar on “Regional Data Protection Policy and Artificial Intelligence”, will take place, starting at 09h30 (GTM +1, Italy). In this activity are confirmed Ginevra Cerrina Feroni, Vice President of the Italian Data Protection Authority, Fabiano Hartmann, Coordinator of R&D Project on AI systems for Brazilian Judiciary, Edoardo Raffiotta, Member of AI Table on Artificial Intelligence (Milan Bar Association) and Vittorio Calaprice, Political Analyst at the European Commission Representation in Italy.

To finish the proposed activities, still on October 4th, at 14h (GTM +1, Italy), will take place the Workshop about “Regional Data Protection Policy and Artificial Intelligence”. This activity will be a presentation of the 11 articles selected through Call for Papers, which are from Brazil, Spain, Paraguay and Argentina.

The meeting is insert on the activities developed by Jean Monnet Network “Building Rights and Developing Knowledge between European Union and Latin America – BRIDGE”, Project financed by Erasmus Program + of European Union and is compound by Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (Brazil); Universidade de Lisboa; Universidad de Sevilla (Spain); Università degli Studi di Milano (Italy); Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (Mexico); Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Universidad de Rosario (Colombia).
