New vacancies have been announced for the European Union’s trainee program within its delegations in Latin America, specifically:
- Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Brazil, Chile, Dominican Republic and Guatemala.

Funded traineeships for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Chile – Multiple sections
Deadline: 28/08/2025
Traineeships of 6 months within the following sections of the EU Delegation to Chile, starting in October 2025.
Qualifications or special requirements:
- University degree in law, economics, political science, international relations, international trade, European law, or other relevant fields such as humanities, social sciences, or environment/climate change with an international focus. A master’s degree is an asset.
- Excellent spoken and written English and Spanish;
- Excellent analytical and drafting skills;
- Teamwork abilities;
- Good IT skills.
Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Brazil
Deadline: 31/08/2025
A traineeship of up to 6 months within the Other EU Policies Section of the EU Delegation to Brazil, starting in mid October 2025.
Qualifications or special requirements:
- Very good knowledge of the Portuguese and English language, orally and in writing;
- Good analytical, drafting and interpersonal skills;
- Eagerness to learn and motivation to work as a team;
- Demonstrated interest in the areas of the digital transformation. Actual experience in the relevant field would be an asset;
- Previous experience in Brazil/ Latin America would be considered as an extra asset.
Deadline: 05/09/2025
A traineeship of up to 6 months within the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Brazil, starting in November 2025.
Qualifications or special requirements:
- Very good knowledge of the Portuguese and English language, orally and in writing (knowledge of the Spanish language is not considered to be equivalent to Portuguese);
- Good analytical skills;
- Knowledge of international relations / politics and already having worked in a diplomatic environment would be an asset;
- Experience in the areas of communications, social media or press-related work would be an asset.

Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Guatemala
Qualifications or special requirements:
- Guatemalan citizen or citizen of an EU Member State
- Young graduate with at least a Bachelor Diploma in the area of Law/Political Sciences /International relations/Sociology (or similar). A master degree will be taken into account positively during the selection process.
- Excellent level of Spanish and English (both oral and written)
- Knowledge of indigenous languages and culture is considered a strong asset.
Funded traineeships for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Dominican Republic
Deadline: 12/09/2025
Traineeships of 6 months, starting in October / November 2025. (Traineeship in the Political, Press and Information Section and Under the supervision of the Head of the Cooperation section)
Qualifications or special requirements:
- At least a University B.A. in international cooperation, international relations, law, economics, or similar.
- The candidate must be able to demonstrate strong computer literacy.
- Excellent spoken and written command of Spanish (minimum C1) and English (minimum C1) is required.
- Prior experience in the corresponding field will be an asset.
